About PJ Knightley
Our Story
Hello, I’m Lisa, the founder of PJ Knightley. The seed for PJ Knightley was planted during the pandemic when many of us stayed in our pyjamas all day. I missed getting dressed properly to go to work and looking smart. I needed colour in my life, after the lockdown I bought myself a bright yellow coat and realised how colour can make a grey day that bit brighter.
It also reminded me of the early days when my two children were born and I didn’t always feel like getting dressed but had to meet and greet excited friends and relatives who came to visit the new arrivals. I wanted to look fun, colourful and definitely not boring in monotone nightwear.
I reminisced about my childhood and how much fun we had growing up in the 1980’s at pyjama parties and the idea grew for a collection of luxury pyjamas. All of PJ Knightley's pyjamas are made from natural fabrics. They are brightly patterned with a dash of playfulness and a pinch of quirkiness. My products are from independent businesses and are for men, women and children.
I hope you enjoy wearing them as much as I have enjoyed curating this collection. I think it is in my blood. My mother was head buyer for Dorothy Perkins and Chelsea Girl back in the swinging 60's and my grandparents had a haberdashery shop.
